WORD FROM THE MANAGER AND COACH
As the Under 8 blue team embark upon their second season in the Selby & District League, both John And Craig, as I'm sure do all the parents and supporters wish them all the best and every success. I'm sure the team will continue to go from strength to strength and build upon the quality football and skill evidenced last year. This culminated in an 8 game unbeaten run right to the end of the season. Last season they missed out on the semi-finals of the Ulleskelf tournament by one goal difference and qualified for the knockout cup finals of their own tournament against the best teams in the region.
The confidence and ability of the team has realy developed and the blues are now matching performances with results. what is more pleasing is the ability of the side to mix their passing game with a strong counterattacking element making them a potent force on the pitch.
One final note - It has been excellent to see the humour and rapport that has developed between the players, coaches and supporters on the blue team. It's been brilliant all round! Every week has seen entertainment, committment, passion and camaraderie all round. Long may this continue to be the ethos and feature of this side.
